Hachis parmentier
Try this tasty hachis parmentier sprinkled with cheese. A green salad will ideally complement it.
1. Steam the potatoes in their skins for 35 minutes. Peel and mash the potatoes using a food mill. Heat the milk and pour it into the puree while stirring. Add the buttercut into small pieces. Add salt and pepper, mix well. Keep warm and set aside.
2. Peel the onions and chop finely. Shred the meat. Heat the oil in a pan and toss the onions. Add the meat and then cook for 5 minutes while stirring. Add salt and pepper to taste.
3. Preheat the oven at 240°C (th.8). Oil the gratin dish lightly. Spread a layer of meat and onions then cover with the potato puree.
4. Sprinkle with grated gruyere. Bake for 5 to 10 minutes until golden brown. Serve with a green salad.
