Tofu veggie burger
Fancy for a dish both satisfying and healthy? Follow our easy recipe for a tofu veggie burger. It will please even meat lovers.
1. Press and drain the tofu. Cut into six regular slices. Peel and chop 1 onion. Wash the tomato, remove the seeds and cut into dice.
2. Heat 3 tablespoons of oil in a pan. Put the tofu slices to brown for 1 minute on each side. Add the chopped onion and tomato. Cook for 2 minutes. Pour the barbecue sauce and cook for 10 minutes over low heat.
3. Peel the avocados and cut into half.Pit. Cut the flesh into strips. Sprinkle with lemon juice. Salt and pepper.
4. Wash the lettuce leaves.
5. Peel and slice the onions into rings.
6. Cut the burger buns in half. Toast them. Place a lettuce leaf on the base. Add the tofu with tomato and avocado slices and onions. Cover with the remaining bread and serve with chips and ketchup.
