1. Split the vanilla bean pod lengthwise and scrape the seeds. Boil the milk with the vanilla seeds and the pod. Beat the yolks with sugar in a bowl until it becomes pale. Pour into the milk and whisk.

2. Stir in the yolk/sugar into the pan and remove the vanilla pod. Heat while stiring until the cream coats a spoon. Leave to cool and incorporate the creme fraiche and refrigerate.

3. Pour the mixture into an ice cream machine. Start churning and then pour into a terrine dish and place in the freezer for 3 hours.

4. Wash and dry the grapes and cut into two. Remove the terrine from the freezer 5 minutes before serving. Decorate with grapes. Serve.
