Nutella yule log cake
Celebrate Christmas and make a Nutella yule log cake. A must for this time of the year.
1. Preheat the oven to 180°C (th. 6). Separate the egg whites from the yolks. Whip the egg yolks with the sugar until pale. Add the flour.
2. In another bowl, add a pinch of salt to egg whites, then whip until stiff peaks. Fold the egg whites gradually to the mixture. Mix gently.
3. Spread the mixture on a parchment paper and bake for 10-15 minutes. Remove the sponge cake from the oven, and gently roll in a clean, damp cloth. Leave it for a few seconds, so it takes the shape.
4. Unroll and spread nutella. Roll it tight. Using a spatula, coat the log. Cut both ends of the roll for a flawless finish and decorate as you wish. Serve at room temperature.
