1.Preheat the oven to 150°C (th. 5). Buttered and floured a loaf pan. Work 350 g flour with the baking powder, and 250 g of butter in a large bowl. Add 100 g of sugar and 350 g of mixed candied fruits.

2. Beat together 2 eggs and 15 cl of milk. Thoroughly mix the two mixtures. Pour the batter into the pan and dig a small well in the center.

3. Place the pan on a baking sheet to in the middle position in the oven. Bake for 1 hour (check for the doneness with the tip of a knife: it should come out clean). Remove the cake from the oven, let cool for 5 minutes before unmoulding.
