For ‘Mardi Gras’ make some traditional bugnes. Children and adults will love these little doughnuts!

1.Combine the flour, salt and baking powder in a food processor. Add the eggs, melted butter and warm water. Work the dough well and form a ball.

2. Let the dough rest for 1 hour. Then roll out the dough as thinly as possible.

3. Cut the dough into strips of 10 cm by 4 cm and make a small cut of 5 cm at the center.
4. Fry the bugnes for 2-3 minutes in hot oil. Place them on paper towels. Sprinkle with icing sugar and serve hot.
