Veal bites with caramel sauce and grapefruit
If you want to prepare an easy and original dish, this recipe with veal bites with caramel sauce and grapefruit will please you.
1. Cut two thick veal cutlets (2 cm) into chunks. In a nonstick skillet, add 2 tablespoons of oil and cook for 2 to 3 minutes.
2. Remove the zest of 1 grapefruit with a peeler and cut into very thin strips. In a pot of cold water, bring to a boil, then drain.
3. Finish peeling the grapefruit, remove the segments and cut into cubes. Set aside.
4. For 10 to 15 minutes, heat 4 tablespoons of water with 4 tablespoons of liquid honey, and add grapefruit zest. Pour 1 teaspoon of white vinegar and let caramelize. Coat the meat chunks with the caramel. Add salt and pepper and set aside.
5. Cook the grapefruit cubes, then are make small skewers with 1 grapefruit cube and 1 veal chunk..
6. Serve the veal bites sprinkled with 1 tablespoon of toasted sesame.
Our tip: You can replace grapefruit by pineapple.
