Filet mignon with mustard
Enjoy the flavor of a tender meat with this filet mignon recipe with mustard. A pure delight!
1. Wash, dry and chop the thyme (set aside 2 sprigs for decoration). Peel the onions and chop. Wash the tomatoes and cut into slices. Rub the filet mignons with mustard.
2. Heat oil in a pot and fry the onions, then the filet mignons on all sides. Add the tomatoes, season with salt and pepper and reduce the heat.
Pour water to cover the meat. Add the bouillon cube and thyme, stir. Cover and cook for 25 minutes over low heat.
3. Dissolve the cornstarch in 5 cl of cold water. Add into the pot and bring to a simmer. Whisk until it is thick.
4. Cut the filet mignons into thick slices. Arrange onto 6 plates with the onions and tomatoes. Sprinkle with the sauce. Decorate with the thyme and serve.
