Lemon chicken tajine with pear and dried fruits
Typical dish of Maghreb, tagine can be prepared in different ways. Today we suggest you a delicious chicken tagine recipe with pears and dried fruits.
1. Cut the candied lemon into quarters. Peel the onions and chop. Salt and pepper the pieces of chicken. Brown them evenly in a tajine or a pot with a little oil.
2. Add the onions and then the cinnamon, cilantro, ginger and candied lemon. Sprinkle 2 pinches of turmeric and cook for 5 minutes. Then pour 1 glass of water in. Mix and cover, leave to simmer for about 40 minutes over low heat.
3. Peel the pears and cut into quarters. Fry them in a pan with a little honey and butter.
4. Remove the cinnamon from the tajine. Add the pears and the honey juices then the hazelnuts, the cashews and the raisins. Cook for 5 more minutes and season to taste. Serve with white rice or semolina.
Our cooking tip: If you don't like pears, you can replace with apricots or dates.
