Apple pie
For a fruity and easy dessert to make, follow our easy apple pie recipe . You will enjoy this delight.
1. Preheat the oven to 180°C (th. 6). Cut 500 g of puff pastry in two. The dough should be 5 to 6 cm longer than the pie dish.
2. Peel and core 750 g golden apples. Cook with 250 g of sugar and 1 small glass of water. When cooked, mash and add 250g of raw apples, peeled, cored and cut into thin slices. Flavor with cinnamon or with 3 cl of calvados.
3. Line the bottom with one of the discs of dough in the floured pie, leaving edges of 2 or 3 cm. Prick, pour over the apple mixture and place the second disc of dough over the top.
4. Seal the two edges by wetting and then rolling on one another. Pierce the top of the dough in several places to allow steam to escape while baking. Brush with 1 beaten egg yolk and bake for 45 minutes.
