How do you host a successful appetizer?

Gourmand Asia

We have asked your best tips and advice to host an amazing appetizer or cocktail dinner. Here are your best answers.

Apéritif

Having pre-drinks or an appetizer is a moment we share with family or friends.

We asked our friends and readers for their tips on successfully hosting an appetizer.

Here are the best suggestions.

From Facebook :

Vivian A. tells us:

‘I prepare a tuna rillette with cream cheese and serve them with corn blinis. I also make mini bacon tarts with goat cheese. Mmm.’

That sounds delicious!

Isabelle C. reveals her secret:

‘I love to cater to every taste: some cherry tomatoes and vegetable sticks for a light version, cold cuts and cheese for indulgence…and of course some cashew nuts or peanuts. Tradition always works! I make even more food if it is a cocktail dinner.’

We love that everyone is accounted for.

Sabrina S. gives us her tip:

‘Savoury house cookies with peppers, onions, goat cheese or other cream cheeses, a savoury cake with herbs or salmon with dill,  some toast with various tapenades, cheese or cream just improves it!’

Perfect!

Marin D. tells us:

“I love a goat cheese tapenade with tomatoes on toast. If not, I’ll make it at home as children love little cakes and peanuts.”

An ideal appetizer!

Thank you for all your advice.

Feel free to share with us your kitchen tips on our Facebook page.
