Carrot and lentil soup

For a healthy vegetable filled entree, try this carrot and lentil soup recipe topped with bacon bits.

1. Peel the carrots and onions, cut into small cubes. Wash and chop the celery.

2. Wash the lentils and pour them into a pot. Add the carrots, onions and celery. Season with salt and pepper. Add 1 liter of water and bring to a boil. Reduce the heat and leave it to cook for 45 minutes.

3. Before serving, fry the bacon. Divide the lentil soup into bowls, add bacon and top with chopped parsley. Serve immediately.
