Sweet and sour chicken
We recommend this gourmet recipe to cook chicken legs with sweet and sour sauce. A dish for the whole family.
1. Make a few slits in 8 chicken legs, rub with ½ teaspoon of salt and 1 tablespoon of paprika, and let rest for 15 minutes. Peel and chop 2 onions and 4 garlic cloves.
2. In a pot, brown evenly the chicken legs with 6 tablespoons of olive oil. Set aside. Sauté onion and garlic with the chicken, and then put the chicken back in the pot with 1 bay leaf and 2 chopped dried chili peppers.
3. Add 12.5 cl of dry red wine, 2 tablespoons of heavy cream, 1 tablespoon of sherry vinegar and 2 large dried mushrooms. Stir, cover, and cook on low heat for 20 minutes.
4. Remove the chicken, and keep warm. Filter through a sieve or chinois and baste with 1 tablespoon of honey. Let reduce over high heat, season with soy sauce and cayenne pepper. Pour ovver the chicken legs and sprinkle with 30 g of roasted peanuts.
