Sweet apple quiche

Apples are cooked in the oven once and then again covered with a smooth cream. The result is amazing!

1. In a bowl, combine the flour and butter into small pieces. Work with your fingertips to get a sandy mixture. Sprinkle with vanilla sugar, make a hole in the center and add 1 egg. Mix and shape a dough ball. Let stand for 30 minutes.

2. Rinse the apples, cut in half, remove the core and seeds. Cut into thick slices.

3.  Preheat the oven to th. 7-210°C. Buttered a tart pan and garnish with the dough. Place the apple slices in a star shape and bake for 10 minutes.

4. Rinse the lemon and grate the zest. Beat the eggs with the remaining sugar. Add the cream and lemon zest. Pour the mixture over the apples and continue baking for 25 minutes. Serve warm or cold.
