A pleasant fragrance of cinnamon in these poached pears in red wine. The perfect dessert on a sunny day!

Ingredients
1. Peel the pears, keeping the tails. Place them upright in a tall pot and pour the red wine. Add the brown sugar, lemon zest, vanilla sugar and cinnamon stick.
2. Bring to a boil and leave to simmer for 20 minutes, basting often the pears.
3. Gently remove the pears from the pot with a slotted spoon and put them in a dish. Reduce the wine over high heat.
4. Pour the syrup over the pears and let cool completely. Place in the fridge before serving.
