Italian strawberry ice cream
Nothing is better than a homemade ice cream to cool off. This strawberry delight will please everyone.
1. Wash the strawberries and remove the stalks before blending.
2. Pour the milk into a saucepan and gently bring to a boil. In a bowl, whisk together the egg yolks and sugar, while pouring the hot milk.
3. Put back into the saucepan and heat, stirring constantly until the mixture coats a wooden spoon. Do not bring to a boil to avoid the preparation to coagulate. Remove from flame.
4. Pour the strawberry coulis. Let cool and add the heavy cream.
5. Pour the mixture into the ice cream maker. When the ice starts to harden but is still soft, pour into a piping bag and serve in ice cream paper cups or horns wafer.
Our cooking tip: You can replace the heavy cream (which brings creaminess) by 20 cl of heavy cream and
10 cl evaporated milk.
