Braised endives with orange

For your starter, we suggest to prepare braised endive with orange. Tasty and crunchy.

1. Remove the first leaves of endive and bitter heart from the stem end. Cut them in half lengthwise. Zest orange peel and squeeze the juice.

2. Melt the  butter in a large skillet over low heat. Add sugar, stir and cook to caramelizeCombine the orange juice and zest. Place endives in a pan, cut side down. Cover and simmer for 20 minutes on low heat.

3. Before serving, place 2 halves of endive on each plate. Add fresh ground pepper and drizzle the orange sauce .
