Caramelised beef with onions and bamboo shoots

Revel in this beef with caramelized onions and bamboo shoots, sprinkled with sesame seeds.

1. Cut the beef fillet into fine strips. Peel and chop the onions. Drain and rinse the bamboo shoots.

2. Heat the oil in a pot and sweat the onions until they turn translucent. Add the beef. Sprinkle the sugar, soy sauce and fish sauce. Add pepper. Cook for 10 minutes over low heat and stir until it caramelises.

3. Reduce the heat. Add the bamboo shoots and season to taste. Mix and cook for 3 minutes on low heat. Sprinkle sesame seeds and serve.
