Beef bourguignon
Discover an easy recipe to cook a classic of French cuisine: a beef bourguignon. A hearty dish to revel in family.
1. The day before, cut the meat into small cubes. Peel and slice the carrots and onions.
2. Heat oil in a pot and fry, stirring the meat cubes. When they are colored, remove from the pan and set aside. Replace with carrots and onions. Fry for 2 minutes, then add the bacon and meat cubes. Add salt and peppercorns, thyme and bay leaf. Sprinkle with red wine and bring to a boil. Lower the flame and continue the cooking with the lid.
3. Cook for 2 hours at low heat, stirring occasionally.
4. The next day, heat the beef bourguignon for 20 minutes over low heat. Serve immediately.
Our cooking tip: Do not hesitate to increase the proportions to prepare for two meals. The more the beef bourguignon is warmed up, the better.
