These chickpeas with chorizo and garlic will make a tasty and flavorful starter.

1. Peel and cut the chorizo into slices. Drain the chickpeas. Peel and chop 2 garlic cloves. Wash, dry and chop basil.

2. Heat oil in a pan and fry the chopped garlic without browning. Add the chickpeas, chorizo, remaining unpeeled garlic cloves, and tomato sauce. Salt and pepper. Cook for 10 minutes over low heat, stirring.

3. Divide the chickpeas with chorizo and garlic in 4 plates. Sprinkle with basil. Serve immediately.
