Hedgehog cake

Amuse your children with this fun and easy to make hedgehog shaped cake.

1. Cut the panettone or the pound cake into slices, horizontally. Then cut them in half again.

2. Place the cake slices onto a plate in the shape of a hedgehog: half slices are arranged vertically and diagonally to make peaks. Cut one of the slices into a triangle to represent the head of the hedgehog.

3. Sprinkle the cake with icing sugar with the help of a sieve.

4. Make small balls of pink and brown marzipan to make the eyes and the nose.

5. Place a little bit of red fruit jam at the corner of the plate to complement the slices of pound cake.

Our cooking tip : You can use different fillings (Nutella, honey, fruit jams) to your liking!
