1. Peel the onions and cut in half. Heat the butter in a skillet and let melt the onions without browning, pour the broth and cook for 20 to 30 minutes. Remove from the heat as soon as the liquid is evaporated.

2. Preheat the oven to 210°C (th. 7).

3. Buttered a springform pan, sprinkle sugar, divide the onions, salt and pepper. Crumble the cheese and sprinkle over the onions. Cover with puff pastry tucking the edges inside the mould with the handle of a spoon.

4. Bake for 20 minutes. Place a dish on the pan and return it at once.

5. Wash, dry and chop the chives. Sprinkle chives and rosemary sprigs. Serve warm.
