Caramel custard
Here is a recipe to make a caramel custard. A scrumptious dessert that will please everyone.
1. Preheat the oven to th. 6-180°C. In a saucepan, pour 100 g of sugar, a dash of lemon juice and 1 tablespoon of water. Heat over low flame until a caramel amber colour.
2. Pour the caramel into 6 ramekins and shake the cups to make sure the sugar is evenly distributed. In a bowl, whisk the remaining sugar with the eggs and pour gradually the milk, continuing to whisk. Add the vanilla extract. Divide the mixture into the ramekins.
3. Place the ramekins in a large baking dish, fill the dish with hot water halfway up to the ramekins. Bake for 30 minutes.
4. Remove the caramel custard from the oven and the bain-marie. Let cool completely, then place in the fridge for 1 hour. Serve cold.
